The Struggle of Life as I know it/them
Throughout life you will embark on some obstacles. These obstacles should not deter you from the big picture in life. My struggles have got me to where I am today. I have been molested by family members, I have been homeless and I have also been in an abusive relationship. All these things that I have been through have shaped me to be the person that I am today. I was raised by my father’s sister while my mother and my daddy went about their lives. During this time life for me was hard because I didn’t know why my parents didn’t want me or care for me. So as life went on I learned that you must love yourself in order to be loved. As I embarked on more life lessons I learned that I wasn’t even safe in that home I was molested time and time again. So I became very angry and started to take the wrong decisions in life. I moved to Georgia where my dad stayed with his new wife and family. My dad began to do the same exact thing that I had just left. His excuse for it was let me show you what the men in the street going to do to you. My life at this point changed I begin to party, drink and hangout with the wrong people. The man that was supposed to protect me had violated me and he didn’t even know it. When I told my aunts about this which was my dad’s sisters they didn’t believe me so that hurt even more. So then I ran away and slept in the park until my cousin let me move in with her. Once my dad found out where I was he sent me back to stay with my aunt where it all started. I was very angry and wanted to hurt someone. So once back in the house school was a no go, because all I wanted to do was fight I didn’t care who it was. I had no respect for my aunt anymore and I want to fight her. She ended up sending me to my mother’s house in New Jersey. This was the closes thing that I had to a childhood, but that also came to an end. Not because of my mother, but cause of what I had went through before getting to her. I met this guy; he was the brother of a famous singer. When I tell you I was on “Cloud nine” I was until he became abusive. He beat me until he was tied. So after all of this abuse I got my life together. I had my kids I prayed and protected them so that they would not have to go through what I had endured in my life. So the moral of this story is that no matter what struggle you are going through there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Learn to love yourself and a stay focused and you can and will achieve any and everything in life. I have graduated from the University Of Phoenix with a 3.4 GPA. I worked at Georgia Department of Corrections for ten years leaving there as a Lieutenant. So you never know what a person has been through in life. So I come here to be a voice of all women and girls that has endured this in their lives. You can achieve it; you can make it look beyond your hurt and pain. God has a plan for you; you are smart, beautiful and intelligent. You have the power to take your life back. I was told that I would never be anything, but look at me now. From dropping out of school to getting my GED, with the highest score of 250: too going to Job Corp getting my CNA. I Graduated the University of Phoenix with a GPA 3.4 in Criminal Justice. So yes you can conquer anything you want to in life despite the obstacles that you may embark on in life.
